Having led a normal childhood until the age of eight, Chris was tragically involved in an accident with a Romanian unicyclist, during which he suffered a large blow to the head. Although he recovered from the accident, Chris has since suffered from the need to perform regularly in front of an audience and the burning desire to hit things. It was the latter element that caused Chris to turn to the drums. The accident also had one more devastating effect for him, which was the longing to play songs by the Village People, although medication seems to have kept this under control.
Wearing a Beatles haircut in the 70’s, flares in the 80’s and punk clothes in the 90’s, some have questioned his sense of timing. However, Chris has a fantastic ability to be able to play the drums in a number of different time signatures, and on odd occasions, some people have noticed that he plays a beat which actually fits with what the rest of the band are doing. Others have just put this down to a coincidence.
He can often be seen eating his favourite sandwich, which is filled with cheese and pickle, and called George.
