Kevin - Lead Guitar

Kevin first shot to fame in 1997, when he presented a number of hit children’s TV programmes, although most people will know him under his stage name ‘Gunther Gayborn’. Following in the footsteps of his great hero, Rod Hull, his act involved working with a puppet known as Harry the Hamster and the two of them soon built a formidable reputation as the new Keith Harris & Orville.

Sadly, all went tragically wrong in 2007, when Harry the Hamster was kidnapped from his dressing room, and despite intensive police investigations, was never to be seen again. The loss of such a popular character led to Kevin being ditched by the TV companies who had made him famous and he quickly realised that a new act was required.

After numerous discussions with his agent, Kevin emerged a year later as a singer and guitarist, retaining his ability to woo the crowds with his natural talent, good looks and enthusiasm. Fame was once again to come his way when during a tour of the UK’s top community centres, he was spotted by a member of ‘Under Cover’ and asked to join the band. His previous experience of working with puppets has since proved invaluable.

Rumours that Kevin is Jim Bowen’s lovechild are completely unfounded.
